“As usual, I have to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. My olympic run was supernatural. And me coming in here as a young puppy without any experience and winning this thing against great fighters was supernatural. I thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and all of the saints who’ve been praying for me. To answer your question, it was tough, hard night. All of the fighters are great fighters and thats why you never hear me disrespect the fighters before the fight. I know what I’m getting into. I just want to be a little better than them on the night of the fight,” as Ward waxed poetically.

When asked about his dominate performance, Ward responded “We told Antonio [Tarver] this is what we wanted to do. We wanted to fight outside and on the inside. Antonio said “whoa, listen, I think you could win this fight going away if you box. But we said Antonio just trust us. We know what we’re doing and we pulle it off tonite.” Ward continued, “I was actually surprised at how slow Froch was… and we were able to beat him to the punch and that’s what won us the fight.” “Froch said several times throughout the whole build up I couldn’t hurt him. I know I hurt him several times. I saw it in his eyes. I felt it…”

“Well I had a bad night. I couldn’t really get anything going- that’s obviously due to Andre Ward’s slick defense skills. He’s very slick and slippery”, said Froch. “He moves his head very low and moves and ducks and slips and slides. That’s boxing ya know, ya have to do it. He’s very good at it. He’s very good at keeping himself out of harms way. Very clever up close. I just couldn’t get my shots off. I wanted to get my shots off. It was very frustrating in there for me in there and that’s why it was a bad night for me… because in sparring I don’t have sparring partners like that and for 2 or 3 rounds you can’t get anything going but on the big stage when the lights and cameras are on you’re trying so desperate to get your shots off and hit him… To beat Andre Ward I need to working on certain technical different things…”

Andre “Son Of God” Ward looked composed, sharp, and dominate as he outclassed the englishman Carl Froch with his brilliant skill.
